More about Alyx Bui, DO
Dr. Alyx Bui is a physician who practices general psychiatry. She helps her patients with a variety of conditions such as unipolar depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and schizoaffective disorder. She also has a concentrated interest in electro-convulsive (ECT) therapy.
As a doctor, she is interested in evidence-based medicines and exploring alternative options to treat more severe cases. Dr. Bui gravitates toward including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in her treatments because it has proven to have more effective outcomes on depression and anxiety than medication alone. She developed a profound interest in these treatment alternatives during her residency after witnessing them successfully help her patients improve. In her opinion, the existing medications are wonderful, but for some people, these types of interventions are superior.
She joined Mindful Health Solutions because of our evidence-based practice as well as our patient-first ideology. Dr. Alyx Bui is determined to work with each individual to create a unique treatment plan that will work for them. When working with her patients, she hopes they can be open to different treatment options and be engaged in the process so they can work together and find what works best.
