Anna Cragin is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. Anna was inspired to go into the helping field at an early age. Her greatest heroes in life were people who always exhibited kindness, compassion, and unconditional positive regard. Anna finds happiness and fulfillment in helping others to identify and utilize their strengths to work through obstacles and achieve their goals.
She has over 13 years of experience as Mental Health Clinician, joining clients as they work through their symptoms of trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, grief, relationship conflicts, and other presenting issues. She specializes in treating clients with trauma and PTSD, utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Trauma-focused CBT, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. She also specializes in family systems therapy, parenting and co-parenting, and parent-child dyadic therapy. Anna’s therapeutic approach is client-centered, warm, collaborative, strengths-based, and directive as appropriate.
Anna Cragin is passionate about ensuring that her patients are able to get the care that best supports them. Therapy alongside other treatments such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and esketamine can help give patients a wide variety of options in order to find what works best to help them as an individual.

Education & Experience
Anna graduated with honors from Saint Mary’s College with a Master’s of Arts degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy. She completed her Master’s thesis and project, Preventing Vicarious Trauma in the Workplace, which reviews the literature on vicarious trauma, clarifies the predictors, effects, and appropriate preventive measures, and proposes the application of a psychoeducational support group. During her graduate studies, she completed a clinical traineeship at Tri Valley Haven, where she worked with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and homelessness. She completed her 65-hour Domestic Violence Advocate training and became certified as a Domestic Violence Advocate.
Anna has over 13 years of experience as a Mental Health Clinician providing services for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Prior to joining MHS, she worked in private practice for over 4 years, credentialed with County Health Services and other insurance panels. She served as a Clinical Supervisor at San Joaquin Behavioral Health, overseeing a team a Mental Health Clinicians and Mental Health Outreach Workers in a Family Therapy Program. She has worked for various community mental health organizations and schools, serving children, adults, and families. As a school-based therapist, she provided individual and family therapy to students and families and served as a consultant to teachers and school staff. She led support groups for students, staff, and taught parenting classes. She volunteered as a Counselor for the San Francisco AIDS Nightline and as a Grief Counselor for Contra Costa Crisis Line.
