More about Nkechi Nduka, PMHNP
Nkechi Nduka is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) working at our Houston office. She practices general adult psychiatry but specializes in major depressive disorder (MDD), anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and schizoaffective disorders. However, she is skilled at treating other mental health issues as well. Overall, she is fascinated by how the brain truly works, and why that causes people to behave the way they do. She began her career with a goal to destigmatize mental health care and get more people comfortable with reaching out for help. She wants to create a positive impact on her patients and help them live a good quality of life.
Throughout her career, she has focused on patient-first care. Nkechi joined Mindful Health Solutions to continue that practice as well as focus on evidence-based treatments. She prefers to work one-on-one with patients to create their ideal treatment plans. She believes that transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapy and esketamine have proven their efficacy and safety, and she looks forward to offering these options to those who may benefit from them alongside medication management now that she works at Mindful Health Solutions.
As a nurse, Nkechi Nduka is patient-driven. She wants to create a treatment plan for each patient that addresses their symptoms but also works with their lives. Ultimately, she wants patients to feel comfortable while also working on finding relief and joy. If Nkechi can provide a safe place for patients, and work towards breaking the stigma surrounding mental health care, then she’ll be working towards her goals.
