About Terri Fox, PMHNP

Terri is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and board-certified in family practice as well. Her focus is on depression, anxiety, trauma, women’s and adolescent health, ADHD, PTSD, and LGBTQ issues. She has over thirty years of experience in nursing and providing care to patients and their families.

After several years in hospital nursing. Terri went back to school to become a nurse practitioner. In working with patients in Family Practice, she saw first-hand how the mind and body were connected. After reading the book “The Body Keeps the Score” by Bessel Van Der Kolk, MD she learned how trauma impacted our brain chemistry. Her eyes were opened to how much more we know about the brain and mood, and things that affect the two. She went back to school to specialize in psychiatry.

She views the relationship she builds with patients as a collaboration. She believes in empowering her patients to help make decisions in their treatment plans and educates them for informed, carefully considered choices. Being a lifelong learner herself, education and explanation is an important element in her patient care. She is a partner in her patients’ treatment and recovery.

For Terri, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is an exciting treatment tool for depression and other conditions. Patients rave about the results they receive for relief of depressive symptoms that they were not able to fully obtain before. Terri has witnessed changed lives through TMS.

Terri joined Mindful Health Solutions in the Summer of 2020.
