More about Venecia Webb, LPC

Venecia Webb is a Psychotherapist whose focus in therapy is trauma and depression. She uses CBT and EMDR to help her patients heal and grow through life. She offers an atmosphere of healing, growth, and full authenticity. Her patients are free to express themselves however they see fit and know that the space she holds for them is a space where they can come to relax, relate, and release.

As a Psychotherapist, she is very direct with her patients. She doesn’t believe in beating around the bush or sugar coating anything because she finds that it doesn’t work if a patient is not going deeper into their thinking. She makes statements or asks questions that hit the point. The things she says are always with the clients’ emotions in mind and she is always sure to be empathetic.

Venecia Webb describes her ideal patient as someone who takes their mental health seriously and strives to be healthy mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. This patient is someone who has issues with trauma or depression, and they want to learn how to cope and heal from their past traumas. Therapy alongside other treatments such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and esketamine allow patients to find what works best for them as an individual.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, she loves dancing. Since college, she has gotten into swing out and west coast dancing. She recently stopped for a few years, but is looking forward to getting back into it.

Education & Experience

Venecia attended The Chicago School of Professional Psychology for her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, graduating in 2017.

Once she graduated with her master’s degree, she worked at an outpatient facility as a QMHP/case manager. When she received her intern license, she moved on to a substance use facility providing group therapy services to individuals on probation. She later moved to another substance use facility that focused more on individual therapy as she knew she needed more experience providing this modality of therapy. After she had experience there, she moved into doing intake for a mental health hospital that served children, adolescents, and geriatrics. She completed her intern hours and became fully licensed. She then wanted to get back into doing individual therapy, so she went to her very first job where she was a QMHP/case manager and became their first therapist. Almost completing a year of employment, she decided to have experience working in a private practice.
