Dr. Bermudes has been practicing psychiatry with a focus on mood disorders for over twenty years. He founded Mindful Health Solutions and is currently the practice’s Medical Director. He helped formulate insurance policies for TMS therapy and served as president of the Clinical TMS Society, where he continues to serve on the Board. He has a background in research and is dedicated to continuing to pursue the most advanced treatments for mental health conditions and improving access to these treatments.
Brad holds more than twenty-five years in healthcare business leadership and working with successful start-ups. Before Mindful Health Solutions, he was Principal and co-founder of BMC Diagnostics, a regional radiology services provider that provided the most advanced diagnostic imaging technology to deliver a high-quality service to patients and medical providers. He has always been focused on creating and growing healthcare companies committed to delivering an exceptional experience and results to all stakeholders.
Asif is an entrepreneur and investor with a background in technology, operations, and quantitative investing. He enjoys working on operational challenges and coming up with solutions that leverage the best of people and technology across industries. He has equal abilities to gather and translate business and operational requirements, design systems, and deliver training and technical support. As an operations leader, he has often focused on organizational risk and worked on strategies to mitigate risks.
Debbi has been with Mindful Health Solutions since 2016. She brings prior Organizational Development, Recruitment, and Human Resources expertise from growing organizations in the consumer product, retail, legal services, and healthcare industries. She held Human Resources positions at several organizations including Merrill Corporation, Title Nine Sports, Wham-O, Inc., and St Francis Medical Center. Debbi is currently completing the Master of Science degree program in Organizational Development at the University of San Francisco.
Erwin is a finance executive with over twenty years of experience in healthcare, including private and non-profit companies. His extensive experience spans financial operations, revenue cycle oversight, acquisitions, strategy, and risk management for medical groups, management service organizations, and academic health systems. He also understands how critical decision-making regarding technical aspects of the business can drive key performance metrics to improve patient, provider, and employee satisfaction.
Deb has nearly 25 years of experience in executive health care roles, serving in a variety of capacities including network executive, quality management executive, and chief operating officer. She is the Former Senior VP of Network Strategy for Optum, where she was responsible for behavioral health network development, contracting, and strategy for over 185,000 providers. Deb has a special interest in helping providers implement measurement-based and collaborative care models to improve healthcare outcomes.
Ara has been a healthcare entrepreneur, executive, and investor for over twenty years. He has successfully funded, operated, and sold multiple healthcare businesses. He was President, CEO, and co-founder of BMC Diagnostics, a company he guided through a successful acquisition. Before BMC, he founded Embion/Provider Links, a technology leveraged distribution company focused on the healthcare industry. For the past several years, he has been an angel investor in early-stage healthcare companies.
Dr. Cook is Professor Emeritus at UCLA, where he worked at improving diagnostic technologies and biomarkers to match patients to treatment more effectively and investigated medications and psychotherapy in clinical trials. He was Founding Director of the UCLA TMS Treatment Service and the Depression Research and Clinic Program at the Semel Institute. He is a Board Member of the Clinical TMS Society.
Mark has a deep background in information technology and business consulting with a keen understanding of vendor selection and implementation for software and hardware solutions. He was previously president and COO of Health Diagnostics. Additional experience includes software development leadership roles at Accenture and IBM. He holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a BBA in Information Systems from Baylor University.
Previously at Rush University, Dr. Janicak is a Consultant to the Therapeutic Neuromodulation Center at Northwestern University. He has long been regarded as a leading expert in psychopharmacology and neuromodulation, including both TMS and ECT. He has written extensively on the long-term safety and efficacy of TMS in treatment resistant-depression, including the pivotal study leading to FDA approval of TMS.
Michael is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Drybar, a retail company that grew in six years to almost $100 million in annual revenue and over 70 locations throughout the US and Canada as well as a product line sold at company locales and major retailers such as Nordstrom. He has experience leading a company in location-based expansion and an emerging category with low awareness.
Ernie has experience with large provider group management best practices. He is the former President and CEO of Daughters of Charity Medical Foundation and has previous experience with healthcare startups. He previously served on the Board of the California Association of Physician Groups and the California Department of Managed Healthcare Financial Solvency Standards Board.
Dr. Zucker is a psychiatrist with a background in academia, large group practice, and health plan clinical leadership. Most recently he was Senior Medical Director of New Product and Innovation for Optum, a division of United Healthcare, where he spearheaded tele-behavioral services, other digital initiatives, and new models for treatment and technology. He has experience managing and growing payor relations.
