Dr. Kuzma Kovzun is a psychiatrist passionate about understanding the complexities of the human mind. He entered the field of psychiatry to combine his love of science with the desire to help people make meaningful, positive changes in their lives. Dr. Kovzun has a special interest in treating ADHD, a condition he believes has been misunderstood and stigmatized for too long. With the right treatment, he finds ADHD can be managed in ways that significantly improve a patient’s quality of life.
He enjoys working with patients from diverse backgrounds and values the opportunity to learn from their unique experiences. Dr. Kovzun approaches treatment collaboratively. He sees himself as a partner in his patients’ mental health journey, helping them navigate challenges and reach their full potential.

Education & Experience
Dr. Kuzma Kovzun earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine. During medical school, he commissioned in the United States Air Force, where he began his journey in military medicine. He completed his psychiatry residency at Michigan State University within an active-duty military setting, where he gained extensive experience in treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions.
After completing his residency, Dr. Kovzun served as the sole psychiatrist at Beale Air Force Base in California, providing care to a patient population of over 5,000 individuals. His experience in this role further developed his expertise in treating complex mental health conditions, with a particular interest in ADHD. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to integrating cutting-edge therapies to improve his patients’ quality of life.
