More about Sinat Aleje, PMHNP
Early in her career as a psychiatry nurse, she was profoundly impacted by the life-altering connections made with the patients she cared for. This connection motivated her to further her career goals and make a lasting contribution as an advanced practice nurse. As a PMHNP, she can serve her patients by preventing, identifying, and treating various mental health conditions through the use of psychopharmacology and psychotherapy measures.
She has always been fascinated by the mind and how it works. After reading and listening to different materials on the mind and human behavior, she concluded there is truly no health without mental health. Her treatment approach is to meet patients where they are mentally and emotionally and provide compassionate holistic care. She listens, assesses, plans, and implements care by collaborating with the patient. She considers each person a unique being and discusses the best and safest individualized plan of care that maximizes health potential.
She believes Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Esketamine’s proven efficacy and safety makes them a distinguished alternative treatment plan. TMS is a non-invasive procedure and Esketamine nasal spray is extremely advantageous in alleviating symptoms associated with depression. She is thrilled to be able to offer access to TMS and Esketamine as excellent treatment options for a patient who has not benefited from psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. These two treatment options open additional channels for mental health wellness.

Education & Experience
Sinat received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Los Angeles City College, Los Angeles, California.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University in Dominguez Hills, Carson, California.
She began her career as an Emergency Room Nurse at Los Angeles County Plus University of Southern California (LAC + USC) Medical Center. She provided direct patient care with the trauma center, triaging and prioritizing care for neonatal through geriatric age of groupings based on patient’s condition (acute vs chronic). She learned the ability to do across-the-room assessments, identifying critically ill patients, and providing prompt care. While she felt privileged to deliver care to patients in the ER with a vast variety of ailments for five years, she was missing the connection for mental health care that she knew her medical patients desperately needed.
She transferred to the LAC + USC Medical Center Psychiatric ER as a Psychiatric Emergency Room Nurse. Here, she was able to master her clinical skills in working with pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients seeking treatment for psychiatric alignment and/or substance abuse. She provided crisis intervention, administered psychotropic medication, and triaged/managed patient care to prevent self-harm and harm to others.
She received her Master of Science in Nursing – Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles. Clinical rotations included time at the Veteran’s Hospital in Long Beach, where she performed mental health evaluations for adult patients with post-traumatic stress disorder and improved client’s self-awareness and knowledge regarding mental health illnesses and medications by educating them on the proper use and monitoring for results. She also worked at the Sunset Psychiatric Medical Center, where she provided outpatient client-centered care and treatments based on evidence-based guidelines for diagnosing and actively listening to the clients’ concerns and symptoms. She effectively managed client symptoms by initiating, adjusting, and continuously monitoring medication administration and performed a clinical assessment, clinical document, and case formation.
Sinat joined Mindful Health Solutions in the Fall of 2021.
