She completed her residency in Adult Psychiatry at the University of New Mexico, School of Medicine.
Upon graduation, she began treating patients through psychopharmacology and therapy, focusing on providing evidence-based care. Since then she has continually sought out innovative approaches to treatment, including TMS and ketamine therapy, to better serve patients with depression and anxiety.
Now, Dr. Kabir brings more than 23 years of clinical experience as a Senior Physician in Adult Psychiatry, treating a wide range of mental health disorders. She is experienced in managing complex cases, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders, and holds extensive knowledge of psychopharmacology and the latest advancements in psychiatric research and treatment modalities.
TMS and esketamine, she believes, represent promising alternatives for patients who have not responded to traditional treatments. She states, “These therapies offer new hope for improved mental health outcomes, particularly for individuals experiencing treatment-resistant depression. I am excited to be part of this evolving field, as I believe it holds great potential for the future.”
