Zlata Karga is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner whose specialties include treating psychological trauma, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and depression.
Zlata grew up in Soviet Ukraine, and her experiences there had a major influence on her choosing mental health as a career path. While in Ukraine, she earned her master’s degree in philosophy and political science from State Schevchenko University in Kyiv. After moving to the United States, Zlata went back to school and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and began working in psychiatry. She continued her education to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and later became a Doctor of Nursing Practice.
Her treatment style is notable for humor, flexibility, and thinking outside of the box.
She developed her own treatment approach combining traditional medication therapy with individualized therapeutic measures based on her experience and background in ballet, art, philosophy, and natural healing approaches.
Education & Experience
Zlata earned her master’s degree in philosophy and political science from State Schevchenko University in Kyiv. After moving to the United States, Zlata went back to school and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Union University. She continued her education to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and became a Doctor of Nursing Practice through the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
Her latest position before coming to Mindful Health Solutions was as an outpatient Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at David Grant Medical Center at the Travis Air Force Base. Zlata is now working her civilian career with Mindful Health Solutions after finishing her military commitment.
