More about Stefanie

Stefanie has always been drawn to the mental health field. Throughout her academic career, she adopted a deep interest in the human experience, particularly the ways pain, sadness, and suffering shape who we are as people. Over time, she realized how difficult it can be to truly understand humanity without acknowledging and addressing suffering directly. She saw that the field of psychiatry offered a path that allows for both scientific rigor and compassion, and the opportunity to help bring clarity and light to experiences that often feel isolating or overwhelming for patients. Inspired, she pursued advanced training in psychiatric nursing to be able to offer grounded medical care while maintaining a gentle and deeply human approach.

Stefanie’s working style is calm, collaborative, and patient-centered. She creates a space where patients feel safe discussing difficult or painful experiences, while also receiving thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care. She believes it is essential to balance medical precision with compassion, without compromising either.

Taking a whole-person approach to care, integrating biological, psychological, and social factors into treatment planning, Stefanie also utilizes the best practices of psychiatry. Her areas of clinical expertise include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, ADHD, and complex psychiatric presentations.

Stefanie decided to join Mindful Health Solutions because of the company’s strong clinical standards and thoughtful integration of interventional psychiatry within comprehensive mental health care. She aligns with our values of emphasizing careful evaluation and ongoing monitoring of our patients’ well-being.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Stefanie enjoys spending time with her husband and their two cats and two Great Pyrenees dogs. They often explore the Sacramento region on hikes and road trips. Stefanie also enjoys creating art, listening to crime podcasts, and reading new books.

She says, “These interests help me stay grounded and balanced, and they inform the way I show up for patients — with curiosity, presence, and appreciation for the full lives people lead beyond the clinical setting.”

Education & Experience

Stefanie is a highly qualified care provider with previous experience working with ketamine, esketamine, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapies, as well as her additional training through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute as a Ketamine Medical Provider.

Stefanie earned her bachelor’s degree from Boise State University and became a registered nurse upon completion of her time there. Soon after, she completed a Master of Science in Psychiatric Nursing from Vanderbilt University, where she appreciated studying under the program’s holistic lens — emphasizing careful assessment of the mind, body, and broader lived experience of each person, rather than focusing solely on symptoms or diagnoses. It was there that she first started to shape the patient-centered approach she now adopts today – remaining committed to thoughtfully assessing patient needs and supporting individuals who are exploring interventional treatment options as part of a broader psychiatric care plan.
