More about Kevin Skyler
Before becoming a nurse, Kevin was a long-time volunteer counselor with the Suicide Prevention Center in Los Angeles and originally planned to become a psychologist. He went on to pursue other interests but remained deeply fascinated by brain science, emerging research, and the more philosophical dimensions of psychiatry. Ultimately, these passions drew Kevin back to psychiatry, where his longstanding curiosity about human experience and creativity found a natural home.
Kevin collaborates with clients to find solutions that feel realistic and meaningful, all while encouraging them to stay curious, hopeful, and engaged in their own healing. He strives to make people feel safe, respected, and genuinely heard.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Kevin enjoys expressing his creativity through painting, film photography, and working on old motorcycles.
