Dr. Alexander Malekzadeh is a community psychiatrist with a focus on treating and working with adults. As a provider he makes sure to consider various psychosocial stressors, taking the mind-body connection into consideration when coming up with an assessment and plan for each individual patient that he sees.
As a Psychiatrist, hearing patients out and understanding what symptoms they consider most impairing to them is the most important part of his personal practice. He prefers a collaborative space where both he and the patient can talk about their conditions in an in depth way, in order to find what specific treatments will work best for them. To him, an ideal patient has good insight into their condition or is willing to develop this through dedication towards treatment.
Dr. Alexander Malekzadeh is committed to ensuring that patients are able to find a treatment plan for them, which includes the options of the latest treatments and flexible planning. Treatments such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and esketamine are alternatives to traditional medications that allow patients with more treatment-resistant conditions to find something that works for their needs and symptoms.

Throughout his education, he was a research assistant at the East Tennessee State University’s Quillen College of Medicine.
Before coming to Mindful Health Solutions, he worked at Kaiser Permanente Oakland seeing mostly outpatients after working with various other residency programs.
