More about Andrew Jackenheimer, MD
Dr. Jackenheimer started his career helping people with severe mental health issues, practicing in Snohomish and King counties. He quickly noticed that outpatient mental health services were challenging to access. Moreover, he became aware of the potential harm long-term use of certain psychiatric medications could inflict on physical health.
Motivated to make a difference, he sought a way to enhance mental health care while also protecting patients’ physical well-being. This pursuit led him to Mindful Health Solutions, where a team of dedicated psychiatrists utilizes the latest research, technology, and medicines to lessen side effects and expedite recovery. Dr. Jackenheimer is optimistic that this modern approach encourages patients to stick to their treatment and achieve sustainable recovery over time.

Education & Experience
After finishing his psychiatry residency at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center, Dr. Jackenheimer moved to the greater Seattle area and began his career as a psychiatrist at Swedish in Edmonds, WA. His time at Swedish included treating inpatient psychiatric patients, working in a partial hospitalization program, and completing psychiatric consults throughout the hospital and emergency department. In 2018 he was asked to take on the role of Medical Director and Chief of Psychiatry for that hospital, which he did until he decided to pursue a different career interest: correctional psychiatry. He worked at Monroe Correctional Complex for a little under two years, treating incarcerated individuals in maximum custody residential treatment unit and intensive management level of care. Wanting to help psychiatric patients at a different care level, he made the decision to leave inpatient and acute care to join Mindful Health Solutions.
