More about Helen Yum, LCSW

Helen Yum is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who focuses on treating patients with trauma, guilt, shame, depression, and anxiety. She is particularly interested in minority mental health and working through questions of belonging and worthiness.

Helen’s working style is collaborative and strengths-based. She supports clients in reconnecting with their ability to trust their judgment again in order to determine their own solutions. She can help with the process of developing greater insight into whether the behavioral and thought patterns they’ve developed over time are working for them or could benefit from adjustments. She believes that, essentially, psychotherapy is a practice of making meaning and connecting to what is human.

Helen joined Mindful Health Solutions because of our commitment to research and excellence as well as our connection to new and emerging treatments. She looks forward to working with patients who are curious and open to discovery.

Outside of work, Helen enjoys heirloom gardening, snowboarding, as well as reading both fiction and poetry.
