Dr. Megha Chadha has always been fascinated by how the brain works. Becoming a psychiatrist offered her an opportunity to learn more about the complexities of the human mind while allowing her to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals, families, and communities.

Dr. Chadha works with patients who suffer from mood disorders and specializes in treating treatment-resistant depression, postpartum mental health, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, and other anxiety disorders. She is particularly passionate about helping marginalized communities. Dr. Chadha states, “Being an immigrant in this country, I have a unique understanding of the cultural and other challenging issues that affect the mental health of immigrants and other minority communities.”

Dr. Chadha prioritizes creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment where patients feel comfortable expressing themselves. Throughout the therapeutic journey, she remains committed to maintaining confidentiality, ensuring patients feel secure and protected when discussing their personal matters with her. She believes in building a strong therapeutic alliance based on trust and mutual respect while working together to find effective solutions that fit their individual needs.

Personal Interests

Dr. Chadha enjoys cooking, crocheting, and solving puzzles, but most of all she loves to spend time with her family and friends. She appreciates the cultural diversity of Austin, including the rich food and culinary scene, the outdoor summer activities, and the friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Education & Experience

Dr. Chadha graduated from medical school in India, after which she decided to come to the US to pursue a residency in Psychiatry. She completed her training at Loyola University Medical Center in 2011, after which she started practicing adult psychiatry at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, IL. She moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2015 and worked with a large multidisciplinary medical group based in and around the Greater Seattle Area. She is ABPN Board Certified and has been in practice for 12 years with experience working in community mental health services, emergency, and nursing home psychiatry as well as practicing inpatient and outpatient psychiatry. Due to personal reasons, she moved to Austin, Texas in early 2023 and joined our team at Mindful Health Solutions.
