More about Rebecca Boucher, MD
Dr. Rebecca Boucher is a psychiatrist dedicated to treating depression, mood disorders, anxiety, and PTSD through medication management and interventional psychiatric treatments. Dr. Boucher brings extensive experience from her over 20-year career as an Army psychiatrist. She has worked with military populations, their families, and Veterans, providing her with a unique perspective and expertise.
At Mindful Health Solutions, she focuses on interventional treatments such as TMS and ketamine, aiming to offer patients options that may be more effective or have fewer side effects than traditional medications. She first focuses on identifying the disorders present in her patients. Then, she prioritizes discussing the different treatment options available, including medications, interventional treatments, therapies, or any other evidence-based treatments that can improve their lives.
Dr. Boucher was drawn to psychiatry during her medical school years, recognizing the significant impact psychiatry can have on improving people’s quality of life. This realization, coupled with her interest in the medical field and psychology, confirmed her decision to pursue this specialty.
Dr. Boucher’s working style with patients is compassionate and optimistic. She states, “I view myself as a guide, assisting people with my clinical experience and knowledge. The path of treatment ultimately belongs to the patient, and I am here to support their choices.” She believes in providing education about conditions and treatment options, empowering patients to make informed decisions. Although she is not a psychotherapy provider, she often recommends considering psychotherapy in conjunction with medication, as it can address aspects that medications alone may not.
Dr. Boucher joined Mindful Health Solutions to shift her practice to include a focus on interventional treatments like TMS and esketamine. After many years of providing medication management, she values the opportunity to offer access to innovative treatments that may work more effectively for some people or have fewer systemic side effects. She appreciates being part of a knowledgeable and experienced team of clinicians at MHS.
