Dr. Wahidi is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist with a focus on psychiatry that has neurological correlations such as such as major depression, anxiety, ADHD, neurocognitive disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), and bipolar disorder.
His interest in behavioral health begun during his undergraduate studies while majoring in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior. During his clinic clerkship in medical school, he decided to pursue a career in psychiatry because he saw patients in need and found a satisfaction with working with a patient to determine the best plan for their recovery. He developed a strong, holistic approach to patient care and appreciated the unique pathology he was able to treat given his training in both neurology and psychology.
Dr. Wahidi takes a patient centered approach to care. He believes that at the center of great patient care is always a solid patient/doctor relationship that is solely focused on improving the patient’s symptoms and easing their suffering. He sees the patient and their family as integral in the process of healing. He believes his role as a doctor is first do no harm and together, with his patients, they will journey to reach the most optimal health.
He sees Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) as a great, minimally invasive tool in the fight against mental disease. He hopes to witness and advocate for continued growth in readily available treatments such as TMS. And he hopes to see TMS continue to grow and treat other conditions such as Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), chronic pain, migraines, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and movement disorders.
He joined Mindful Health Solutions in the late summer of 2019.
